I was super excited when Drew contacted me about a maternity session. He and his wife are expecting their first child, a baby boy, and really wanted to have some portraits made before he arrived. They wanted Pikes Peak and maybe Garden of the Gods in the background. I'm so in love with their session. Almost every image came out great. Feast your eyes on this gorgeousness!

Aja and her husband are expecting their first baby and she wanted to get maternity portraits done.  Aja was super laid back and let me have fun with several different locations, outfits, and lighting techniques. It still feels a little like winter and looks it too but we had some super awesome sunsets  to work with (we actually shot her session over two different evenings). Those skies just took my breath away.

It may not be obvious from these pictures, but we were rained on the entire session. It was cloudy and overcast and not really ideal for pictures but we made it work anyway. Cassie was super fun and easy going and braved the frigid creek waters so we could try something a little more adventurous. I love how the water shots turned out.

It was such a hot muggy day when we went to shoot Maki's family and maternity portraits. We were eaten alive by mosquitos. In spite of the heat and bugs, Maki looked radiant, like a goddess. <3

Emily is expecting her second baby any day now. She reached out and really wanted maternity photos. She's a country girl at heart and wanted to stay true to her roots. There's no shortage of country roads around here so we loaded up and went out for a sunset photo-shoot. It got kinda chilly but Emily stuck it out (bare feet and all) and it was totally worth it!

I enjoyed hanging out with Kylie and photographing her maternity session in her nursery. I loved her round crib the light fixture she found. We even got to include her pup in some of the shots. Can't wait to meet her baby boy soon.

I was super excited when Chelsea contacted me about Maternity photos. As it turned out she was looking for a photographer to photograph all their new baby's milestones and I'll be honest, I was totally stoked.  Her maternity Session turned out amazing even though poor Chelsea got eaten alive by mosquitos! These guys are the cutest retro couple ever. I can't wait for her birth session!
